Full Head of Steam Tour Kicks Off

We’re feeling just grand after a run of shows in New England. Is it just us or does it feel like the days are even getting longer?? After three solid months of snow, ice, and deep freeze, the sun seemed to sense the change afoot with daylight savings approaching (like clockwork!). The roads through Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont were sun-kissed and the snowy fields were shining on like crazy diamonds. Every mountain curve revealed another frozen tundra of a lake dotted with ice fishermen hunkered down for the day. And the shows were just a gas; anytime we go back to Eben’s old stomping ground is guaranteed to be a blast. The theater at Unity College Center for the Performing Arts is truly one of our favorites, and that was before they revamped the sound system. There was even a fan from Brooklyn there tap dancing along to the banjo solos. And One Longfellow Square in Portland is really one of the great listening rooms in all of the Northeast. On top of all that – we had a fantastic audition for the American Music Abroad program (see the dueling buckets below), so with any luck we’ll be traversing the globe later this year like pied pipers of Americana.
