Connecticut is Betta-cut

Connecticut rallied through the snow and showed us some real love last weekend. Friday night we had another raucous night at the Stomping Ground, and Saturday was a sold out show at Voices Cafe in Westport, which is one of the most beautiful venues we’ve ever seen. We shared that bill with the excellent Poor Old Shine. As is often customary when bands play together, some of the gear is shared between them. Since they loaded in first, Tony agreed to use their drummers’ set, and while many people would have been confounded by a bicycle tire mounted on the bass drum, Tony proceeded to bash the daylights out of that thing, completely undaunted. Kindred spirits indeed. Thanks to the Shine, Voices, and the packed house that raised the rafters with us on a snowy January night.
